Income Diary has always had it’s fair share of comments, and when people comment, they often leave their website address as well. You may think that we don’t look at these websites, but I assure you, we do. I often use it as a way of deciding whether a comment if spam or not, and when I do, I’m often very interested by what I find. I’ve found some pretty well thought out websites from people who have taken our advice, and then contrasting that, there’s a good amount of absolute train wrecks.
We thought it would be a good opportunity to offer free website critique to some of the loyal readers of this website. We’re planning on doing this once a month, and covering three different websites in the same post – The good, the bad and the ugly. We will provide you with constructive criticism on how you can improve your website covering the following:
- Design
- Plugins
- Post Ideas
- Ad Placement
- Writing Suggestions
- Social Media
To Qualify, all you have to do is ‘Like‘ the Facebook fan page and submit your website on the relevant status. This is the only time that we’ll be advertising this on Income Diary, so make sure that you join the page to stay up to date with future critiquing (as well as all the other awesome stuff we post on there). It would also help if you’re using WordPress on your site because there are plenty of plugins that we can recommend to improve your website, and as we use WordPress ourselves, we know how it works.
Make sure that there’s contact info up on your website, and if we choose to critique your website, we’ll email you, letting you know when the post will be up. It’s important to mention again that this will be purely constructive criticism; we’re here to help, we’re not interested in putting people down. So if you’re interested in gaining some expert advice from professional bloggers, then all you have to do is come over and submit your website here (please do not submit it on this page). At the very least, you should get some nice free traffic out of it.
